How To Work Smart All Day Long

Your mental state and ability to complete tasks varies over the course of the day.

Here are some tips you can use to work smart all day long for maximum performance:


  1. Creativity and the ability to process information peaks in the morning.  It's an ideal time for writing and generating ideas.
  2. Short-term memory also peaks in the morning.  This is a good time to review notes for a meeting.
  3. Alertness peaks shortly before noon. This is an ideal time to tackle complex problems that require careful logic and planning.
  4. Long-term memory peaks in the late afternoon and early evening. This is a good time to soak up new information.

Last but not least, it helps if you can make these activities stimulating. The more fascinated and interested in a task you are, the less of a chore it becomes.
